Bookkeeper (Part-Time or Full-Time)Up to £35,000 (pro rata for part-time) Haywards Heath Key Responsibilities Bookkeeping & Record-Keeping: Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, bank reconciliations, and ledger maintenance. Accounts Preparation: Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for review by senior accountants. VAT Returns: Accurately prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with HMRC requirements. Client Management: Communicate effectively with clients to gather financial information, resolve queries, and provide updates on their accounts. Payroll Support: Process payroll and ensure compliance with PAYE regulations, as required. Month-End and Year-End Closures: Assist with month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely reporting. Requirements Experience: Minimum of 2 years' bookkeeping experience in an accountancy practice environment. Software Proficiency: Skilled in using bookkeeping software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage. Qualifications: AAT qualification or equivalent bookkeeping certification preferred, but not essential. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling financial information. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective client interaction. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
