Job Title: Quality Compliance Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Bristol Area
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Salary: £55,000 – 60,000
Benefits: Excellent pension plus other excellent benefits
Position Overview
Oversee all quality, operational, and compliance-related activities. This includes chemical storage in the warehouse, regulatory compliance, and coordinating transportation and distribution. The role also manages the ISO and BRC certifications and keeps business and quality manuals updated. The position requires a focus on safety, efficiency, and budget adherence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee safety management and approve site documents, including procedures and inspection records.
2. Conduct internal audits for food safety, QMS, and GDP activity.
3. Be the primary contact for regulatory bodies and lead chemical incident control.
4. Work with the Transport Manager to ensure safe chemical distribution.
5. Coordinate health and safety efforts and ensure compliance with regulations.
6. Manage operational teams, including storage, distribution, and chemical filling schedules.
7. Identify and implement operational improvements, including into the annual capital expenditure plan.
8. Manage emergency response and ensure staff development.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Level 3 National Qualification in a technical field or equivalent in Maths & Science.
2. IOSH and NEBOSH certifications are required.
3. Experience in operations management within the chemical industry.
4. Knowledge of chemical storage and distribution.
