We are seeking an Attendance and Progress Officer in our School of Greenskills, Innovation and Trades, which will contribute to providing effective and timely support to all students within the area to maximise attendance, progress and social and career development through to completion of the programme.
The main duties of the role will include liaising and developing good communication channels between parents, guardians, social workers, and ALS. The successful candidate will assist with attendance reporting and the production of action plans and intervention plans; monitor the quality and appropriateness of students’ targets and support students and staff in regularly reviewing targets set; and admin support for meetings within the school.
We are looking for someone with a good understanding of the various barriers to students learning and progress, with recent working knowledge and experience of successfully supporting students from Entry 3 to Level 3 and knowledge of a wide variety of strategies to support students with special educational needs. A good understanding of Safeguarding, EHCP and looking after children requirements is also important.
