Job summary We are looking for a confident Bed Manager (RMN) with a passion for delivering outstanding care. You’ll be working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Hospital Stevenage. Your day-to-day Provide the highest standard of nursing care & be a role model to junior staff Responsible for the effective management of all acute/PICU referrals. Carrying the delegated authority of the Hospital Manager and Clinical Manager for the referral process from receipt to admission decision. Admission decision (approval for acceptance or rejection) of referrals is the responsibility of the Hospital Manager/Clinical Manager/On-Call Manager. Accountable to the Clinical Manager for ensuring that preliminary screening takes place immediately and that additional information required for admission decision is requested and obtained in a timely way Accountable for the wards capacity to manage an admission is objectively reviewed Ensuring the Referral Assessment Screening Score (RASS) is completed and clinical information summarised/presented for decision using SBARD to the Hospital Manager/Clinical Manager or On-Call Manager Ensuring all referrals are processed and decision made within 1 hour of receipt of referral Why Cygnet?
