In this role you will work for an FMCG company in the drinks sector partnering with Sales & Marketing professionals in their Off-Trade division which makes up 80% of company activities. You will play a vital role in supporting and shaping the financial strategy through financial planning, forecasting and commercial analysis. You will use these financial skills to shape propositions and to be a driver of effective P&L performance.
To be successful in this role you will be a professionally qualified accountant with experience gained in a Finance Business Partnering role where you are driving the performance of sales and marketing staff through insight, analysis and adding value through information. You will have the personality required to partner with and influence senior staff and have commercial abilities beyond reporting on numbers.
Your role will include:
1. Leading Strategic Financial Planning: planning processes for annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and strategic plans. You will be the architect of their financial templates, data, and reports, ensuring they are always prepared for the future.
2. Drive Accurate Financial Forecasting: Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to challenge and refine their inputs, ensuring their forecasts are always precise and realistic. Your insights will be crucial in guiding business decisions.
3. In-Depth Variance Analysis: Conduct detailed variance analyses to uncover the impact of changes in volume, price, and cost on the P&L. Your expertise will help them to understand and navigate financial fluctuations.
4. Present Financial Insights: Be the voice of their financial health by presenting financial plans and results at team meetings. Your ability to communicate complex financial information will be key to their success.
5. Support Strategic Initiatives: Play a crucial role in customer negotiations, new product proposals, and the analysis of promotional plans. Your analytical skills will support ongoing customer data requirements and help them seize new opportunities.

We are looking for someone with the following experience and knowledge:
6. Existing Commercial Business Partnering for FMCG business including food, drinks and other fast-moving consumer goods, experience from other markets will be considered where there is a strong partnership with Sales, Marketing and other commercial professionals.
7. You will be a Qualified accountant (e.g. CA, CIMA, ACCA, ACMA) and hold experience gained in an organisation or environment with a high degree of complexity and pace, a background in businesses going through rapid growth is desirable.
8. Commercial awareness with the ability to provide credible advice and the ability to influence decision making is vital, you will be a self-starter with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
9. Inquisitive nature and driven to challenge and improve current practices, you will use excellent communication skills - both verbal and written to ensure your message gets across and is acted upon by working in collaboration with colleagues.
10. Excellent Excel capabilities with experience of manipulating large volumes of data, your insight and analysis will be driven by quantitative and qualitative data types and you will formulate all of your insights rooted in verifiable data.
