The successful applicant will be based within the East Lothian Mental Health Officer Service and will be expected to: 1 - deliver the statutory responsibilities relating to the oversight/management of private guardians 2 - undertake reviews for both private and local authority welfare guardianships 3 - support social work colleagues (adult services) to fulfil the Local Authority Guardianship duties delegated to them by the CSWO This will include chairing multi-agency meetings/reviews, delivering training, liaising with legal, medical and other professionals and engaging with social work colleagues, individuals subject to guardianships and their family/carer., To provide an effective service to service users and their families/carers, promoting a high standard of practice, in accordance with statutory obligations, policies and procedures., Essential: Approved qualification in Social Work, and SSSC registration.
