What we’re looking for? We’re looking for an Administrative Assistant on a 12-month fixed term contract to help administer and support the delivery of the energy planning function within the WWU Net Zero team. The successful candidate will support with document control, recording of key data, meeting organisation and tracking. The role seeks an individual keen to be involved in developing a sustainable future, and the work WWU is doing to decarbonise the energy system and support communities across Wales and the South West. We’ll trust you to: Support energy planning team to co-ordinate data from meetings and external sources, to produce data which can be interpreted and used to support decision making Provide technical administration support in document control and organisation of meetings and key bits of information received from external sources Support on maintaining engagement plan to build relationships with the National Energy Systems Operator (NESO) and Regional Energy Strategic Planner (RESP), crucial to securing WWU’s future in a net zero gas distribution network Engage and maintain relationships with external partners to disseminate work completed by project managers across Net Zero, particularly with Welsh Government, Local Authorities, and key strategic stakeholders You’ll need to have: Awareness of Net Zero policies and procedures is desirable as well as WWU’s long term ambition for Net Zero focused around the Sustainability strategy Excellent administrative, oral and written communication skills Ability to deal with a wide variety of tasks, whilst meeting strict deadlines is essential Willingness to self-learn and actively seek out external work that may impact on WWU’s Net Zero activities We would also love to hear about anything else you feel you could add or bring to the role As we are a safety-critical organization, all offers of employment are subject to pre-employment drug & alcohol screening.
