The Shift Manager will be responsible for creating a performance climate where people at all levels expect to be held accountable for delivery of their commitments. You will be motivating others through leadership, coaching and effective performance management. The Shift Manager will set high standards and lead by example by driving and facilitating continuous improvement in, Safety, Food Safety and Quality, Delivery and Cost.
Key Accountabilities
Shift Ownership of a Production Area, which will include the following. It should be noted the following is not exhaustive, and the job-holder may be required to undertake other duties to complement operational requirements.
Health and Safety
Ensuring the team understand their Health and Safety responsibilities, ensure any matter concerning safety raised by the team receives prompt attention and corrective actions, liaise with the Health, Safety and Environment Manager as required.
Production
* Delivery of the production plan through direct reporting teams on shifts
* Escalating Site issues in a timely manager to the Ops Manager.
* Adherence to Food Manufacturing Safety & Quality Standards at all times
* Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing Techniques to production operations
