As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support in order to achieve their academic potential. You will be responsible for providing assistance in the classroom and on a one-to-one basis, ensuring that students receive the necessary support to help them overcome any barriers to their learning.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant in a secondary school setting. You should have a good understanding of the needs of students with a range of different learning needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
In addition, you should be a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You will be required to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals in order to ensure that the students receive the support they need to succeed.
