An exciting opportunity has arisen within the City Council’s Sustainable Communities Directorate for a Senior Planning Officer to join our Spatial Planning Team to focus on housing and land supply evidence base documents, as well as the delivery of various types of new housing.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of planning policy work as well as research/analysis of housing issues and solutions. Ideally this includes being involved in the preparation, consultation and examination of statutory development plans and supporting evidence base documents.
Educated with a relevant degree in town planning or related discipline with membership or eligibility to be a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility and the ability to analyse, interpret and present often complex information in a clear and concise manner.
The post is permanent, working 37 hours a week and based at the Civic Centre.
