About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Teacher of Business and Economics to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum in Business and Economics, fostering an environment that supports student progress and development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Delivery: Implement and deliver engaging lessons that cater to a range of student abilities, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
2. Student Support: Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students, providing guidance and encouragement to help them achieve their potential.
3. Assessment and Reporting: Assess, record, and report on student attainment and progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
4. Resource Development: Contribute to the development of teaching materials and resources to enhance the learning experience.
5. Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development and participate in departmental and staff meetings.
6. Pastoral Duties: Serve as a form tutor, supporting the personal and academic development of a designated group of students.
Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate will:
1. Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
2. Possess a relevant undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
3. Have successful teaching experience at the secondary level, including experience in multi-ethnic urban schools and working with students aged 11-18.
4. Demonstrate a strong understanding of curriculum planning, assessment, and quality assurance processes.
5. Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
6. Show commitment to continuous professional development and a collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
