As a Senior Human Factors Consultant at RPS you will lead and deliver results on multiple Human Factors projects with a variety of clients, whilst developing strong, long-lasting partnerships.

What you’ll be doing
You will be scoping and delivering on large, technical, complex Human Factors assessments, that are proportionate and fit for purpose, whilst managing small project teams. A key element of your role will be to enhance the capabilities of the team, through training and mentoring, coupled with providing direction in key technical areas and driving innovation to grow the business.
You will be responsible for supporting the design and case/safety report assessments, undertaking task such as;
Operational claim identification and substantiation
HF design support
HF project integration management
HF support on safety assessment
Human error identification
Application of HF methods
Resolution of operational issues
Derivation and management of requirements
HF verification and validation
Application of a modern standard HF techniques and relevant good practice
Who we’re looking for:
Extensive experience of leading and delivering Human Factors support to nuclear or other high hazard projects
A degree level qualification in related subject, (e.g. Human Factors/ergonomics, psychology, industrial design)
Obtained or working towards chartership with The Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors
Excellent technical report writing skills
Detailed understanding and application of UK regulations and standards
Knowledge of regulatory regimes
Regulatory interaction
Willing to travel to/ and work on clients’ sites
Permanent UK residency:
Eligible to obtain security clearance
