The Role
James Fisher is halfway through an exciting business transformation programme to build a stronger, more sustainable business for the future and we are looking for an Internal Communications and Engagement Lead to join us!
As the Internal Communications and Engagement Lead for our Group Marketing and Communications function, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing effective internal communications campaigns to drive engagement.
This is a global role, engaging with employees worldwide and working closely with Divisional and Functional teams.
Role Accountabilities
* Establish and execute a comprehensive internal communications and engagement strategy, including plans, KPIs, and metrics to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
* Collaborate closely with the Corporate Communications Manager and Head of Marketing Comms to deliver the company’s Employee Engagement priority.
* Deliver Group communications cascade, including quarterly employee webinars, blogs, vlogs, and thought leadership to keep employees informed and engaged.
* Develop an internal stakeholder map to tailor and enhance employee engagement strategies.
* Enhance and expand communication channels to effectively reach all employees, whether onsite, offsite, or hybrid.
* Establish analytics to measure the impact of engagement efforts, using data to demonstrate effectiveness, learn, and evolve strategies.
* Work with Divisions and Product Lines to ensure a coherent and cohesive communications approach.
* Integrate key priorities - ensure safety and sustainability priorities are integral to all employee communications.
* Oversee internal communications for rebranding, maintaining a seamless partnership with the Global Marketing Comms team.
* Foster strong relationships with key suppliers and manage budget responsibilities to support internal communications initiatives.
Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
* Degree in communications, marketing or business, or related, preferred but not essential.
* Relevant experience in a similar role and industry.
* Good internal communications expertise and experience.
* Some experience working with senior leadership teams, ability to step up and be on call as/when peak times demand.
* Change management mindset, embraces the opportunity to drive new ways of thinking and working.
* Proactive, responsive and agile. Strong multitasker who knows how to reprioritise to meet competing demands.
* Team player with outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required.
* High level of attention to detail.
