We are recruiting for a Crash Lab High Speed Camera and Co-ordinate Measurement Machine (CMM/FARO) technician to join a dynamic, highly skilled and expanding team at an exciting time for the Crash Laboratory. The ideal candidate would be a self-motivated, keen and hard-working individual with a passion for vehicles and crash testing.
The role requires someone to work with a world-class team of technicians setting up high-speed cameras and taking 3D CMM measurements of vehicles and ATD positions for crash tests as well as being able to lead by example. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are required. Must be capable of working in a dynamic & ever-changing environment, multi-tasking and adapting to customer and business needs.
Typical tasks would include but are not limited to:
* Prepare vehicles for crash testing by fitting onboard high-speed cameras and taking 3D co-ordinate measurements using a CMM/FARO arm.
* Setup and running of high-speed offboard and onboard cameras.
* Perform static 3D measurements of ATDs and vehicle structures.
* Crash test data and test execution responsible for these areas.
* Taking of digital stills.
Please note this is a 39-hour position working:
* Monday-Thursday 0800 - 1645 with a 45-minute lunch.
* Friday 0800 - 1545 with a 45-minute lunch.
* There may be a requirement to work some shifts to meet customer and business needs.
