Customer Services Officer
Location: Braintree, Essex
Salary: £12.70 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract Type: Temporary, 3-month contract
We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Advisor to join our Customer Services Team, covering the hours of 8.30am to 5pm.
Working as part of a busy team, you will provide a front-line service to customers and staff - in person, by telephone, email, and web. You will provide advice, interpret queries, and re-route customers across a range of Council services.
The Customer Service Centre receives over 150,000 customer contacts a year across various access channels. You will handle everything from arranging a waste collection to processing food voucher requests, as well as taking call back messages for busy departments.
We are looking for an individual committed to providing a high-quality, customer-focused service and who will work with customers and staff to achieve positive outcomes.
You will have excellent communication and keyboard skills, be friendly and approachable, and have the ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
Minimum Requirements: Grades A-C, or equivalent, in English and Maths are essential.
At this current time, our team is working a hybrid pattern, i.e., a mixture of office and home working.
