Job Description
Are you passionate about motorsport and want to play a crucial role in maintaining the legacy of Formula One? Williams Heritage is seeking a dedicated and skilled Heritage No 2 Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Heritage Technician you will be at the heart of preserving and enhancing the performance of iconic Formula One cars at our world-class facility and at global events.
As a Heritage No 2 Technician, your key responsibilities will be:
* Oversee the planning, preparation, build, and servicing of Heritage F1 cars, subcomponents, and pit equipment to Williams’ standards.
* Maintain and enhance departmental databases, technical documentation, and car maintenance records.
* Work closely with the Heritage Car Assembly Manager to report issues and proactively mitigate risks.
* Represent Williams Heritage at client events, demonstrations, and racing activities, showcasing our cars to VIPs and potential clients.
* Collaborate effectively with a range of internal teams, including Event Support, Race Team, and Third-Party Suppliers.
* Proactively maintain and present the workshop, event space, and cars to the highest elite standard.
* Contribute to the identification and resolution of technical and operational challenges, ensuring a smooth operation.
We are looking for a Heritage No 2 Technician with the following skills and experience:
* Previous experience in motorsport as a Mechanic (preferably within F1, WEC, or GP2).
* Strong ability to work independently, handling multiple projects and deadlines.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Flexible approach to working hours during peak times and events.
* Experience in loading and securing valuable freight (land, sea, air).
* Impeccable attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
* Enthusiastic self-starter with a positive and proactive attitude.
* Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across departments.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to think creatively and adapt to new ways of working.
