Logistics Operative
This is a temporary position for 8 weeks starting 13th Jan 2025
Salary: £24,960 per annum
Location: Winchester
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.30pm
Dynamite Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established UK-based business. Due to a busy start to 2025, we are looking for two temporary reverse Logistics Operatives to support a warehouse operation for 8 weeks.
As a Logistics Operative, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Efficiently unload goods, conduct quality inspections, and report non-conformance deliveries.
2. Standardise, palletise, and label goods while recording stock into the warehouse management system.
3. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures during goods handling.
4. Consolidate and sort customer orders, perform documentation and conditioning checks, and dispatch orders to multiple destinations.
5. Verify all information in the warehouse management system and conduct safe transportation conformance checks.
6. Handle loading and confirmation of dispatched goods.
7. Complete visual inspections and place items in appropriate containers.
8. Repatriate claimed and unclaimed assets, palletising them in accordance with guidelines.
9. Conduct rework assessments, choose appropriate tool sets, and complete the rework process, updating the warehouse management system accordingly.
10. Utilise designated waste management workbenches, approved tool sets, and conduct pre-start inspections for electric tools and machinery.
11. Manage waste materials.
12. Weigh waste products and update the warehouse management system to complete the process.
13. Load and unload racking systems, handle manual tools, power tools, and machinery.
14. Maintain housekeeping and workbench cleanliness, provide banksman assistance, and perform mechanical handling equipment safety checks.
The ideal Logistics Operative will have/be:
1. Previous experience within a warehouse and/or stores experience.
2. Banksman certification.
3. Experience using a warehouse management system.
4. GCSE Maths and English grade C or equivalent.
5. Skilled in using power and manual tools.
6. Demonstrates attention to detail and punctuality.
7. A forklift licence would be desirable but not essential.
To be considered, you must be available to start on the 13th Jan.
