My clients are a very well-established, busy manufacturing company based in Tameside, and we are now recruiting for them a Production Office Assistant
Monday – Friday 7.30am-4.30pm
Starting salary £25k
20 days holiday + 8 stats
Main Purpose of the Role:
Support the management team with the day-to-day administrative functions, including diary management, maintaining records, and providing general administrative support to ensure smooth and efficient factory operations
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
• Manage systems and programs to ensure the smooth running of the office (ERP systems/Microsoft AX/Microsoft Office Programmes).
• Create product codes and bill of materials and updating these as necessary.
• Create and update work orders as assigned by the Production Planner.
• Update the Production Plan as required when instructed to by the Production Planner/Manager.
• Create Purchase orders for Maintenance and Production.
• Deal with general queries on stock for our Ashton Road / Crossley Road sites when require.
• Produce Production reports and provide cover for the preparation of Planning reports.
• Help communicate factory updates and notices to employees.
• General administration duties.
• Ensure that safety and workplace policies are adhered to and assist in maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by supervisors or management as necessary.
Essential Criteria:
• Previous experience in an office or administrative role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment such as copiers, and phone systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Criteria:
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Knowledge of fabric production processes or the textile industry.
• Basic understanding of inventory management or ERP systems.
