Qualified Electrician
We currently have a permanent opportunity for a Qualified Electrician to join our clients in-house electrical division to be based in Stafford on a Fixed Term Contract from September to December 2024.
Salary: £36,074.40 per annum
Hours: Mon-Fri | 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities include:
1. Carry out inspection and testing and completing of the necessary test certification in accordance with IEE wiring regulations.
2. Carry out Electrical work in domestic buildings as well as commercial work, including consumer unit changes, electrical rewires, wiring upgrades, minor works repairs, and fault finding.
3. Be fully conversant with all aspects of electrical installation works of both 230v and 400v.
4. Ensure compliance with the IEE Wiring Regulations and that appropriate materials are used.
5. Undertake testing of all portable and fixed electrical equipment (PAT Testing).
6. Liaise with customers to arrange appointments, access arrangements, discuss works, etc.
7. Carry out and complete all works to a high quality and in a competent manner, leaving the property in a clean and tidy condition.
8. Provide information relating to technical matters to any group as directed by the Supervisor.
9. Liaise with other staff, Surveyors, and Sub-contractors as necessary to ensure timely completion of works within agreed operational targets.
10. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all paperwork including job tickets and timesheets, passing this to your supervisor within agreed timescales.
11. Accept progress and complete accurately all works allocated via the mobile working device (PDAs).
12. Ensure that any required qualifications for your position remain valid and arrange necessary training within specified timescales.
13. Participate in the company's out of hours emergency service.
14. Act in accordance with the company's rules, policies, procedures, and financial regulations.
Ideal Candidate:
1. BS7671 - 18th edition (Two years minimum qualified)
2. Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship (NVQ3) or JIB graded with AM2 qualification
3. City and Guilds 2391 (desirable as qualification can be offered)
4. Domestic EICR Testing and/or experience of domestic installation
5. Customer care skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service
6. Knowledge and experience of Microsoft 365 applications
7. Experience of online certification (EasyCert) or similar
8. Excellent communication skills
9. Full UK Driving Licence
10. Willingness to travel within 1 hour of Stafford
