The Community Equipment Service has visible and responsive leadership, setting standards for others and role-modelled throughout the division for all managers.
Main duties of the job
Community Equipment Assistants play an important role in the day-to-day work of the service, including:
1. Handling the movement of equipment within the warehouse
2. Decontaminating all returned equipment following Trust policies and procedures
3. Loading and unloading equipment onto Trust vehicles, adhering to manual handling training
4. Delivering equipment to patients in their homes

Job description
Job responsibilities
* Assist in cleaning and refurbishing all returned equipment
* Move equipment around the warehouse from the cleaning area to main storage areas
* Assist drivers with deliveries and collections of equipment
* Comply with health and safety requirements when handling equipment
* Communicate effectively with the team
* Undertake general warehouse and storekeeping duties, including stock takes of equipment
Person Specification
Qualifications (Desirable): Manual handling training
Knowledge/Experience (Essential):
* Able to work as part of a team
* Able to work with other drivers on heavy and awkward loads
Desirable:
* Experience working with the public
* Experience working in a stores environment with NHS & Social Services equipment or similar
* Experience of fitting and assembling equipment
