The Pipeline Group (PG) is a Service Provider to Subsea 7 and their mission is to offer consistent and progressive delivery of global rigid pipeline systems, through locally tailored solutions, automation and strategic supply chain partnerships. The team provides ‘bid to execution’ capabilities for full pipeline fabrication and installation including welding, inspection, field joint coating, polymer lining and installation engineering. They have a global footprint with teams in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Houston, London, Paris, Singapore and Stavanger and manages pipelay on six construction vessels.
The PG Production Engineer is part of the PG Productions Operations Team within Subsea 7 who are the focal point for all operational aspects of PG Production’s scope within a project.
This role will allow the successful candidate to widen their experience and expand their skill set within a professional and supportive environment. There will likely be opportunities to travel globally for which you will be appropriately remunerated.
Specific Key Responsibilities & Activities
When assigned to a project:
1. Be responsible for the production site mobilization process ensuring everything is ready in due time for operations, including PPT and Subcontractors Personnel and Equipment.
2. Assist with job planning, including:
1. Preparation of operational procedures
2. Preparation of project planning documentation
3. Management of the ready for operations for the project.
Whilst on site (Onshore):
1. Lift Plans
2. Stalk Storage / Layout Drawings (load out sequence)
3. Spooling Checklist with planned dates for actions
4. Fabrication Layout Plan
5. Maintenance of operational records and produce reports on site activities for management and client – including:
1. Base Case Schedule
2. Daily Progress Report
3. Pulling Record / Downtime Analysis
4. Spooling Log
6. Attend progress / client meetings
7. Produce and issue minutes as required
8. Liaise with client and sub-contractor personnel as required
9. Follow up & analyze the progress of the production site and lead the trouble shooting of any safety, quality or technical issue on site.
10. Prepare and issue the PG Production Weekly Report.
11. Issue PG Production close out report.
Whilst on Site (Offshore):
1. Be responsible for the maintenance of operational records and produce reports on site activities for management and client – (remotely)
2. Be responsible for the follow up & analysis of the progress of the production site and lead the trouble shooting of any safety, quality or technical issue – (remotely)
3. Be responsible for the preparation of and issue the PG Production Weekly Report – (remotely).
4. Be responsible for the issue of PG Production close out report – (remotely).
5. Contribute to the Subsea 7 tendering process by using site experience to review forecast productivity, equipment and manning levels during bid.
Authority/Dimensions
1. Operate within the Code of Conduct.

Person Specification
1. Engineering Degree.
2. Previous similar experience, can be from industrial or construction based production as well as energy.
3. Good interpersonal skills such as communication, team working & time management.
4. Capacity to travel (onshore and offshore).
All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.
