We are recruiting a Head of Compliance & Quality Assurance to play a crucial role in developing service strategies, optimising service processes and performance, identifying areas for improvement, working collaboratively across directorates to achieve the required outcomes aligned to the Councils HRA business plan, and LBBD objectives borough wide. Their primary responsibility is overseeing the management and optimization for all compliance & quality of all tangible assets owned or operated by the Authority, including those which support the residents of the Borough, the Council and our commercial portfolio. The post holder will be responsible for delivering the Compliance & Quality Assurance Strategy to the Homes and Assets Directorate and will be the main contact to ensure delivery and maintenance of these services and support the LBBD operational objectives Borough wide. Responsible for oversight of all Compliance and Quality Assurance matters across all services, including Property Compliance, Gas and Electrical Safety, CDM, Damp and Mould, Fire Safety and related Housing Management processes within Homes and Assets Services and the Housing, Environment & Communities Directorate liaising with internal and external stakeholders/partners. The role requires you to provide clear leadership and direction to the service anticipating changing support requirements and the needs of operational services and develop/implement plans and processes to respond appropriately. Special requirements for this post You will have Degree or relevant professional qualification or equivalent recent and relevant experience at a Senior Level in Compliance being at a Chartered Status and member of IOH, RICS, RIBA, CIOB or equivalent. With significant knowledge of the current changing agenda across the Compliance and Quality Assurance fields including the challenges faced by local authorities and key partners, particularly relating to Resident Safety and Compliance Services. Having substantial experience of managing, delivering, reviewing and developing Resident Safety and Compliance Services and Business Development formats within the Housing Sector environment. About you You are a talented and dynamic professional who will work closely with a wide stakeholder group spanning public, private and voluntary/community sector partners across London. You should have experience of multi-agency working and bring proven organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage competing operational priorities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital to convey complex information clearly and efficiently, building effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
