We are now recruiting for a brand new Area Marketing Manager (EMEA & LAC) role within our Toxicology business based in Maidenhead (Berkshire). As an Area Marketing Manager you will develop and execute the marketing strategy for our rapid point of care products and our laboratory reagents including the development of the marketing plan with activities that drive the flow of products to our customers in a manner that highlights differentiation and value. Key focus for your role would be the effective management of the portfolio and coordination of effort and resources to achieve the sales plan. Main accountabilities · Develop marketing strategy and plan · Customise and tailor campaign messaging, launches and brand mix to local market dynamics and needs. Set /adjust tactics as needed, following Regional Marketing and Global Marketing directives as appropriate for local market, suggest contingency plans if required · Utilize existing and develop new communication channels to supplement direct salesforce · Identify and champion new strategies that drive additional sales · Drive increased brand recognition through planning and execution of customer engagement events · Analyse effectiveness of marketing activities, monitor campaign rollout and success through tracking activities, field experiences and sales against objectives · Create regular internal marketing communications · Ensures all promotional activities, progress reports, updates etc., are delivered on time to a high standard · Analyse market data including competitive activity and regulatory requirements and alter strategies as necessary to inform marketing planning and business strategies and decisions. Liaise with key opinion leaders and industry groups to further business aims. · Work closely with the sales leadership to align and execute marketing strategies and tactics and to ensure campaigns are developed appropriately and delivered effectively. · Liaise with corporate and government affairs as needed and ensure quality and regulatory compliance · Propose an annual expense budget and ensure effective budgetary control within agreed spending limits The preferred profile · Educated to degree level in a Business or Science Discipline (or equivalent). · MBA or a marketing qualification is desirable · Language skills (Spanish, Italian, French, German) would be considered as an assett · Previous experience and proven track record in marketing in the healthcare industry or related one · Results-driven & customer-focused · Tactical marketing experience essential · Social and digital media campaign in a highly regulated environment is highly desirable · Salesforce.com enabled and sales campaigns experience highly desirable · Sound understanding or qualifications in marketing related principles · Excellent editorial and written communication skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word programs · Good understanding of financial terminology and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets · Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment · Ability to work within in a fast-paced, changing environment Working at Abbott At Abbott, you can do work that matters, grow, and learn, care for yourself and family, be your true self and live a full life.
