Job summary This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 position within our South East Early Help Team. You will be contributing to a comprehensive group work programme under the Stepped Model of care alongside completing CAMHS Assessments and undertaking the duty function associated. You will be familiar with Stepped Models of care and Assessment processes and be able to take a lead on the clinical development of the team as such. Alongside this, you will be contributing to the team delivery and development plan ensuring that compliancy and competencies are met. You will be familiar with electronic recording systems such as RIO to comprehensively compile and report data to ensure this is prioritised and reported in various forums. This opportunity will hold supervision responsibilities and supporting students and ASYE/ Preceptorship candidates. You will be or will be willing to work towards being a Practice Educator (Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Social Work) to facilitate students and post qualifying opportunities. You will hold a professional Qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Nursing with full Registration and have 2 years experience of working within CAMHS or equivalent. Main duties of the job To provide a community based primary mental health service for children and young people as part of the primary tier of CAMHS. To offer consultation and advice to primary care workers on all aspects of mental health and well being of children and their families. To direct children and their families to the most appropriate service in order to meet their emotional needs. To offer assessments individually and jointly with primary care colleagues. To offer a variety of evidence based therapeutic group interventions at tier 1 and 2 to children, young people and their families and to hold a small case load. To deliver formal and informal training and education to all agencies involved with the emotional care of children and young people.
