Are you an experienced registered Nurse looking to start or continue an academic career at the Exeter School of Nursing in the beautiful Southwest of England?
We are looking to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced Nurse to join the well-established team of nursing lecturers based at the Exeter School of Nursing. You will contribute to teaching excellence related to nursing care and contribute to the academic and clinical development of Adult Nursing at the University. This will include the development and delivery of foundation degree, undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare programmes. You will also be encouraged to contribute to research within the School and join an appropriate research group.
You should possess appropriate professional qualifications, registration as a Nurse with the NMC is essential, relevant post registration experience as a nurse, a Degree in health or a related subject, relevant postgraduate qualifications and a teaching qualification (or be willing to work to achieve this).
Based in the Faculty of Health, the School of Nursing and Midwifery programmes in the fields of adult, child and mental health nursing and in midwifery have been designed with our students’ career and the future needs of the workforce in mind. The School works in partnership with local NHS trusts to drive forward clinical research and support students in their learning to become the best nurses and midwives they can be.
This role will require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check plus an Adult's Barred List check.
We have a permanent FTE of 1.6 to fill and we will consider requests for full time, part time or job shares. The successful candidate/s will be based at the University of Plymouth site in Exeter, and be required to occasionally travel to the main campus in Plymouth.
Remote working is available up to 2 days a week.
