Receptionists Required for Dudley Urgent Care Centre & GP Out of Hours: Weekend Cover, evenings and nights will need to be covered on rota
We currently have opportunities for Urgent Treatment Centre receptionists.
We operate 24hrs a day, 7 days of the week providing care to patients with an urgent clinical need.
The successful candidates will need to be flexible to cover shifts during bank holidays and weekends as part of their working shifts.
The Role Requirements
Responsibilities:
1. First point of contact for the Urgent Care Centre
2. Answering phone calls from patients, surgeries, and other hospital departments
3. Booking patient appointments onto the Adastra system
4. General Administration when required
5. Sending performance updates to the management team
6. Escalation to on-call managers when required
7. Chaperone duties when requested by a clinician
8. Referrals & navigating patients to alternative services
9. Signing out doctor’s equipment
10. Ability to work flexibly overnights, bank holidays & weekends
Person Specification
1. Knowledge of Adastra clinical system is desirable but not essential
2. Experience within an NHS or fast-paced customer service environment desirable
3. Excellent timekeeping
4. Ability to remain calm under periods of high pressure
5. Proficient in the use of MS Office products
6. Excellent telephone manner
7. Excellent communication skills with peers of all levels up to senior management
8. Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
9. Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
10. Be flexible, motivated and committed
11. Have a passion for delivering exceptional customer/patient service with a ‘can do’ attitude
