This is a permanent position, working 35 hours a week 40 weeks a year. The successful candidate may have previous experience but could also be a graduate candidate who is passionate about changing and shaping the lives for our young people. This is a good opportunity for someone who has had experience in education or alternatively no experience but looking to progress and develop the skills and qualifications required to become an effective aspirational leader. As Aspirations, Careers and Work Experience Lead you will: P rovide a comprehensive Careers advice service for students 11-18 years. B e passionate and committed to raising the aspirations of our young people. Arrange Work Experience. L iaise with employers. Provide support, encouragement and engagement to all students, promoting our high expectations - no excuses ethos at all times. E nsure staff, students and parents are aware of CEIAG support and availability and lead sessions to raise awareness as appropriate. Keeping Children Safe in Education The school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
