The Recruitment Co is currently recruiting an experienced Supply Chain Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to join an Internationally recognised Manufacturer in the Nutritional Supplement Industry.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £35,000pa
Hours: Full time, two shifts, Monday to Friday. Rotating between 6am-2pm and 8am-4pm.
Holiday Allowance: 33 days pa (25+8)
Overview: Working to a planned horizon, the Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the departmental team has the "tools for the job" by driving operations within the department. From coaching of staff to involvement in departmental budgets and cost saving plans, the Supply Chain Supervisor is a champion for people development. Process, quality and technical and operational excellence in the team.
Role Responsibilities:
Health & Safety:
* Champion for Health, Safety and Environment.
* Ensure risk assessments are available and reviewed appropriately.
* Ensure operators are working in a risk-free environment.
* Support the Warehouse Manager in performing risk assessments where applicable.
Operational General Duties:
* Daily meetings with the teams to discuss activities and targets.
* Ensure inventory accuracy is maintained at the company standard (receipt, storage, distribution).
* Weekly meetings with the warehouse manager to discuss training, NC's, SOP's, staffing levels and improvements.
* Ensure attendance records and return to work forms are completed.
* Monthly staff timesheets completed at the end of each month and recorded onto the attendance report.
* All reports cleaned down weekly. All information needs to be recorded and form part of a report that will be discussed with the warehouse manager during the weekly meetings.
* Monitor and transfer expired and quarantine material, working closely with the QC department.
* Weekly cycle count to be conducted. Stock accuracy report must be kept up to date and accurate.
* Ensure area standards are set and maintained.
* Investigate and resolve specific supply chain/warehouse CAPA's/NC's, working closely with the QC department to close out.
* Product recall and traceability process.
* Audit process and the explanation and understanding of how the section operates to allow good clear communication to the auditor, understanding of what is expected leading up to an audit.
* Incident and accident reports.
Goods Inward / Despatch:
* All stock items delivered must be processed within an 8HR shift.
* Discrepancies or missing documentation reported to the relevant departments, with follow-up to the purchasing team.
* Ensure all correct processes/SOPs are being followed by the warehouse team, including changing of pallets to the correct storage pallets plus the application of the GRN labelling to the outer packaging.
* Updating SOPs and creating new SOPs to support all job roles within the area. The training matrix must also be updated.
* Creation of competence questions to support the SOPs and the training of the staff.
* Running area reports and cleaning down these weekly.
* Ensure all dispatches are to customer requirements and stock is accurate.
* Delivery by customer information is kept up to date and new customer requirements are added.
* Expiry reports to be run monthly, and information sent to the relevant departments.
Raw Material/ Packing:
* Creation and update of SOPs. Ensure the training matrix is up to date.
* Create training competence questions to support the SOPs and train out to staff.
* Stock locations need to be wrapped and contain a front pallet sheet.
* Accuracy of works order picking is to be monitored for packaging and raw materials and random checks completed on kits.
* Return stock both raw materials and packing to be processed efficiently and line 200 updated.
* Develop the team to enable cross training.
* Run weekly expiry reports and ensure stock is physically moved to the quarantine area. Also, the sage transfers are completed.
Production/Material Handlers:
* Ensure that all roles are covered daily.
* Daily updates to be sent to the Warehouse/Supply Chain Managers before the daily morning meeting.
* Clear communication with the Production Leader/managers.
* Reports are completed weekly and cleared down. The information must be recorded as this will form part of the weekly meeting with the warehouse manager.
* Clear communication with the Supervisor to ensure we do not cause any production downtime.
* Additional stock picked from cold storage is recorded and allocated to the raw material works orders.
OTIF/ attainment to plan:
* Ensure plan is completed and discrepancies are reported accurately to the relevant departments.
* Ensure blockers to OTIF are removed or resolved by working closely with other departments.
Development and Improvement:
* Coach and develop team members using a development plan to identify and review progress.
* Maintain training matrix.
* Train team members to achieve improvement potentials.
* Support and guide groups to ensure improvements are delivered.
