Here at Derian House Children’s Hospice, we have an exciting opportunity for a Director of HR, OD and Support Services to join our team based in Chorley. You will join us on either a full time (37.5 hours) or part time (30 hours) permanent basis.
Derian House Children’s Hospice is proud to have been providing high-quality care to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions for over 30 years.
The Derian House care team provides symptom management, palliative and end-of-life care, as well as short break respite care to children, young people and their families across Lancashire, South Cumbria and Greater Manchester. Supported by our dedicated community team, family support team, neonatal services and young people’s services we are able to provide a wide range of support and care in a variety of settings.
About the role:
As our Director of HR, OD and Support Services, you will be based at our Hospice in Chorley. The successful candidate will report to the CEO and be part of the Senior Leadership Team. You will oversee all aspects of HR including strategic HR leadership, HR processes, Organisational Development, employee relations and talent acquisition. You will also be responsible for our Admin team as well as our Volunteers and have oversight of Trustee recruitment, management and development.
What we’re looking for in our Director of HR:
1. 5 years in a Senior HR Role
2. Excellent people management skills
3. Demonstrable knowledge and experience in all aspects of employment law
4. Strong leadership skills
5. Proven ability of developing HR policies and procedures
6. A passion for Derian House
