Ocean Infinity is seeking a Senior Buyer. The Senior Buyer will fulfill an important role in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team in supporting the delivery of commercial projects in Ocean Infinity. Acting as the procurement single point of contact and working in partnership with internal stakeholders such as our project managers within the service delivery team, the Senior Buyer will support the planning, deployment, and operation of all commercial projects by coordinating the sourcing and delivery of all required procurement.
What you will do:
* Support the Head of SCM and Procurement Lead in designing and implementing the supply chain management strategy in line with OI’s strategic objectives.
* Support the procurement team in areas such as project or category strategy, contract management, bid evaluation, and contract negotiation.
* Support internal stakeholders in projects with demand planning, requirements specification, supplier selection, and contract management.
* Support the procurement team with commercial governance and contract compliance, including Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) and supplier audits.
* Champion the value and benefits of the new SCM function at OI and work with stakeholders to adapt to new ways of working.
* Work proactively on driving best value for money from all third-party spend.
* Lead on global strategic sourcing projects.
* Coach, mentor, and guide procurement team members.
Who you are:
* CIPS membership/qualified (or equivalent), or willing to work towards through structured CPD.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a procurement role or demonstrable transferable skills.
* Experience of leading teams and managing workload.
* Understanding of procurement strategy and best practices.
* Experience at various stages of the procurement lifecycle.
* Ability to take ownership and engagement in the work.
* Undergraduate degree, preferably in a business, commercial or management subject.
Salary for this position:
Up to £50,000 per annum. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
