About the role:
LKAB Minerals UK is looking to recruit a suitable candidate to fill the post of Maintenance Team Leader at Lund. As Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing and organising mechanical and electrical maintenance for all operational activities and equipment on site. You will ensure that all planned and preventative maintenance is carried out in accordance with the CMMS maintenance plans, and you will be responsible for ensuring that daily inspections are carried out including identification, reporting and rectification of faults to reduce breakdowns and improve plant reliability.
Working under the guidance of the Site Manager to accomplish plant objectives in areas of Safety, Environmental, Recovery, Quality, Reliability, Production, efficiency, Cost Reduction and innovation. Efficient planning and proactive strategy development for optimisation of plant, equipment & reports.
Role Description
* Scheduling and carrying out a full range of engineering and maintenance duties for the entire site, diagnosing and resolving faults in line with budget.
* Use predictive maintenance methods and knowledge of machinery and environment to ensure maximum uptime of plant and equipment.
* Use of CMMS system recording maintenance and breakdown activities.
* Proactive maintaining, developing and implementing site improvement processes or projects, delivering efficiency, safety and performance.
* Executing work to specific Health and Safety, Environmental, Company and Industry Standards and adherence to 9001, 14001, 45001 and 50001 company accreditations, ensuring operational excellence, quality and safety and that all maintenance is carried out using Safe Systems of Work.
* Support local contractor management processes ensuring they are following Health and Safety Standards.
* Ensure all tasks are sufficiently risk assessed and safe systems of work developed and suitable control measures implemented.
* Have responsibility for the recording and management of stock.
* Play an active role in OEE to improve efficiency within the business unit.
* Minimise all business losses as reasonably practicable.
Required Experience:
* Time served apprentice.
* BTEC National/NVQ or equivalent.
* IOSH preferred but not essential.
* Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Root Cause Analysis are advantageous.
* Experience of safely maintaining medium to heavy plant (Preferably screening, crushing, milling, dust extractions, mixers, conveyors, pneumatic blowers) with basic skills in machining, welding, pneumatics and hydraulics.
* IT Skills particularly Microsoft Office suite.
* Experience in using CMMS systems.
Candidates with the experience or relevant job titles of; Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Site Maintenance Supervisor, Field Service Team Leader, Service Engineer, Field Service Technician, Service Technician, Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Technician, Electrical Engineer, Electrical Technician and Repair Engineer will also be considered for this role.
