Day Surgery Unit 1/2 and POD at Frimley Park Foundation Trust is looking for an enthusiastic, competent Band 6 Sister to join our team. DSU 1/2 and POD is a friendly environment to work in, where all members of the team are valued.
We are looking to recruit a Band 6 for Day Surgery Unit 1 and 2 and POD. We care for patients under urology, colorectal, upper gastrointestinal, breast, gynaecology, and ENT. At times, we also support and care for patients via emergency general surgery, alongside elective surgery. We have the unique opportunity to look after elective patients on DSU 1 and POD and inpatient surgical patients on DSU 2.
The ward offers excellent support to new members of the team, and you can complete various training to support your needs. A full induction to the ward and the Band 6 role will be given, with ongoing personal development planned through the appraisal system. There are opportunities to undertake leadership courses and a surgical acute care course.
