Activities of the team/department that this role will operate in:
Responsible for the implementation of our Social Value Strategy across Ringway. The role is diverse and involves a considerable amount of internal and external stakeholder management. Work with our Business Units to ensure delivery of social value into the communities we work with. Working with our Business Unit Management Teams to deliver project activities related to social value across our networks. Responsible for engaging stakeholders (employees, local communities, supply chain) in the development and implementation of social value plans across the business. Helps to create and maintain a social value framework to measure our impact on local communities and wider society. Coordinate activities with the wider community and stakeholder team.
Purpose of the role and your responsibilities:
• Responsible for collaborating with all Business Units, to establish a Social Value strategy that supports the overall VINCI UK Social Value Strategy, maintaining links with appropriate Shared Service departments/managers, such as, HR, Learning & Development and Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability.
• Create and roll out social value strategy for Ringway, ensuring strategic alignment with National Social Value Priorities, The Social Value Model, National Highways and Transport for London and other clients and stakeholders.
• Develop and roll out a standardised approach to reporting social value activities across Ringway.
• Report regularly Ringway's social value performance to the Senior Leadership team.
• Continue to develop and evolve a suite of social value KPIs suitable for all Business Units.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders as required.
• Promote and co-ordinate companywide policies and National Awareness Campaigns that support local community engagement activities, such as volunteering days, match funding and Vinci Foundation. Develop strategies to increase workforce engagement.
• Maintain knowledge of all Government regulatory, policy and political direction and communicate to leadership team.
• Create and build partnerships with service delivery partners aiding successful delivery of social value outcomes aligned to social value strategy.
• Lead tender submissions for social value responses.
• Build relationships with local stakeholders and community groups as required, engaging with local communities to understand local needs and deliver volunteering targets and programmes.
• Represent Ringway at external employability and community events, as required, e.g. careers fairs.
• Support the wider business by delivering employability and skills opportunities and strategies.
• Identify all funding options and maintain knowledge of changes to available funding streams to support local investment in social value activities.
• Where possible, secure such funding through collaborating with our Business Units to make submissions as required.
• Ensure that our Supply Chain Partners contribute towards the creation of Social Value by providing data to meet local contractual requirements or Group policies, aligning to our engagement commitments and demonstrating additional mechanisms of achieving improved social value.
• Prepare and provide presentations and reports as required.

Skills required:
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Experience required:
• Experience of working with community groups delivering Social Value in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Experience of building trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrable awareness of the wider sustainability and social impact agenda.
• Experience of engaging large groups and presenting information that appeals to the audience and gains support.
• Flexible in terms of hours worked, attitude and tasks undertaken.
• Holds a current driving licence.
