The Director of Europe and Asia (EAP) Operations will be responsible for the leadership and ultimate day-to-day operations across Ryan’s Europe and Asia locations. This leader’s responsibilities will be broad and include managing areas of all operations either directly or through the oversight of the President International Operations. The successful candidate must be extremely hands-on and possess the ability to effectively communicate and execute on the Europe and Asia Operations vision, strategy and operating goals. This individual will also be responsible for ensuring the vision is clearly communicated to all members of Europe and Asia Operations and that it is reinforced on an ongoing basis.
Duties And Responsibilities
Planning and Strategy
* Assists the President on planning, directing, and managing the entire Europe and Asia Service delivery operation, ensuring the development and implementation of cost-effective and efficient processes to meet current and future business requirements.
* Responsible for short and long-term strategies including but not limited to planning, developing and managing budgets, expenses, strategic performance indicators, and formulating goals of the EAP Operations that are in line with Ryan’s overall firmwide strategy.
* Monitors and manages activities in the areas of revenue and sales growth; expense, cost and margin control; monthly, quarterly and annual financial goal management.
* Proactively works with the leaders and teams to facilitate the achievement of Practice goals and targets.
* Drives continuous improvement initiatives.
Communication
* Works with EAP President's Operations to coordinate formal communications to the Executive Leadership, Principals and Management team within Ryan.
* Encourages clear communication through EAP Operations by facilitating and coordinating Leadership meetings and calls.
* Reinforces a positive working environment through ongoing communication, office meetings, celebrating success and rewarding outstanding performance.
* Promotes use of Operations support teams by Service Delivery to drive efficiencies and ensure use of best practices.
* Works collaboratively with the People Group to ensure synergy and alignment across all strategic and people initiatives.
Collaboration with Corporate Services
* Ensures Operations efforts are in line with the Firm goals.
* Maintains and develops reporting mechanisms with Finance to ensure operating effectiveness, and also ensuring that the performance metrics of Operations are being met.
* Works with the People Group on recruitment, promotes training and development, supervision and evaluation of employees.
* Understands Ryan’s policies & procedures and fosters awareness on Best Practices.
* Assists the President Operations to partner with Corporate Development and Practice Leaders to unite on acquisition strategies for the business and assists with maintaining relationships with potential acquisition candidates and strategic partners.
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree required, with advanced degree preferred. Additional experience requirements include at least ten years in a business consulting environment, experience developing performance improvement strategies and proposals, and management experience in consulting environment.
