Overview: The Infrastructure Support Engineers' are responsible for supporting our IT infrastructure and network services which underpin our internal and public facing services. As an Infrastructure Support Engineer Apprentice, you will work within a team of infrastructure specialists and engineers where you will both be involved in supporting a wide range of Infrastructure services and devices, delivering support as required and engaging in project delivery with senior team members and contractors where appropriate. You will also undertake a Cloud Network Specialist Level 3 Apprenticeship with QA. Salary: £28,842 per annum. Key Responsibilities: Monitor, respond to and resolve incidents and problem tickets escalated to you Ensure services are available and resolutions are delivered within SLA’s Work with and support third parties in providing infrastructure services Work with technical architects and senior support officers to assist with project delivery. Consistently do well in modules, assessments and exams in their Cloud Network Specialist course as a requirement for this apprenticeship Attend full-time work with the Agency in accordance with the training schedule agreed with QA. What we are looking for: Experience Essential Criteria: Experience with Microsoft Desktop OS Experience with Microsoft server OS’s Desirable Skills: Experience with VMWare virtualisation Experience with basic Azure diagnostic and support Technical Essential Criteria: An understanding of how to use Windows OS A understanding of on-prem virtualisation concepts Desirable Skills: OS - Redhat, Ubuntu A basic understanding of Azure diagnostics A basic understanding of Backup systems and configuration concepts Entry Requirements: 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4 (A-C) in any subject GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3 (D or above) Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
