We employ several field biologists and ecologists to assist with data collection and monitoring commitments on projects. We are looking for seasonal ecologists to support our project commitments across various locations including Peterborough/Norwich, London, Cardiff, Bristol, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Winnersh, Worcester, and Birmingham. Whether you're a recent graduate, a keen naturalist, or an experienced consultant, we want to hear from you.
About the Opportunity
We are particularly interested in recruiting experienced field survey leads, bat specialists, water vole specialists, botanists, and ornithologists. We offer flexible contracts including fixed-term, zero-hour, full-time, or part-time options for suitable candidates.
Our ecology team is over 200 strong, providing opportunities for technical and career mentoring to support your professional development. At Jacobs, we provide resources to turn great ideas into reality.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Supporting the national team of ecologists on various projects
* Survey support and logistical planning
* Ecological surveying and biological data collection
* Report writing
Our Water and Environment business advises clients on sustainability issues, including renewable energy, low carbon economies, climate change impacts, and waste management. Our environmental team comprises over 1000 staff mainly based in the UK, with reach into Europe, the Middle East, and India.

Requirements:
* A genuine interest or enthusiasm for a career in ecology (degree or keen naturalist)
* Experience in ecology surveys and fieldwork
* Eligibility for CIEEM membership
* Good team player with willingness to work away from base office
* Driving license (please specify on your CV) - preferred
