Cover Supervisor
Working Hours & Weeks: 32.5 Hours Per Week – Term Time Only (39 Weeks)
Salary: Grade 5 SCP 6 - 9 - £25,183 - £26,409 to be pro-rated
Actual pro-rata salary - £19,196.04 - £20,130.57
We are seeking a Cover Supervisor who will be a key part of our team. You will supervise classes across Key Stage 3 and 4, during the absence of the assigned teacher, deliver pre-planned and set work, ensuring an understanding of the tasks which have been set. You will also need to manage student’s behavior at all times in accordance with the school behavior policy, to ensure that students are on task and working to the best of their ability, deal with any immediate problems according to school procedures, take the register and provide written feedback to the class teacher.
The successful candidate will have high expectations, a commitment to raising standards of attainment and up-to-date knowledge of teaching and behavior management strategies. We are seeking passionate and driven individuals with good communication and organisational skills and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our students and their community.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills with evidence of grade A*- C or 4 and above in Math's and English at GCSE level and have the ability and confidence to use ICT. Experience of working with children and/or students is desirable and at interview, you will be able to clearly display an affinity to the pastoral care of students in school.
Successful applicants will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to liaise effectively with a wide range of people including, parents, teachers, students and support staff.
