We are seeking an experienced Property & Estates Management Officer, with a track record of working in a similar technical role within either a housing or customer focused environment.
You will support our two award-winning companies to make a real difference to people’s lives, homes and communities across South Wales and Cardiff.

8. Excellent communication skills and are you able to provide a high quality, friendly customer-orientated service?
9. Do you have the self-awareness to continuously improve yourself and others?
10. A proven track record of working in the construction industry/ Housing Association or a similar role with the skills and experience to undertake the role and accountabilities as set out in the attached role profile?
11. A level 4 qualification within the Construction Industry or are you willing to work towards one?

What you will be doing?
As a Property & Estates Officer you will be working on a patch across South Wales local authorities, engaging with residents, staff and contractors as well as managing properties. Every day is different and varied and can be challenging. The main responsibilities of the role include:
23. Identifying and resolving problems that residents have reported in their homes, including damp and mould inspections.
24. Undertaking stock condition surveys and assisting with future cyclical planned maintenance works for your patch.
25. Making sensible investment decisions about future works.
26. Undertaking fire risk assessments in blocks of flats (Training will be provided).
27. Undertaking safety and compliance checks and assessing risks.
28. Proactively leading, managing and developing the team of site staff in line with the WWHG way.
29. You will enable the delivery of services to our residents by providing effective support to all departments and front-line staff within the Group.

Where is the role based?
You will be patch based, we envisage your patch being across South Wales and Cardiff. While you will spend most of your time in your patch, you will be expected to work from time to time across the whole of South Wales, and to provide cover for colleagues in their patches for annual leave or when additional support is needed etc.
