Job summary The post of the Porter Supervisor is to oversee and co-ordinate the provision of an efficient, high quality and cost effective portering service to all Wards and Departments on site under the direction of the Team Leader and Facilities Manager, and to promote excellent standards of team working and Customer Care. Leading the portering team in delivering high quality services to all areas; supporting the delivery of service modernisation and National Initiatives. Main duties of the job You will be seen across the site and will be required to carry out your work so that the standards set and the wide range of services provided support patient care and the needs of other hospital users. The post holder is expected to treat patients, service users and carers with courtesy, care and compassion at all times, treating each person as an individual by offering a personalised service.
