What you need to know about the role
We’re looking for a dynamic Mechanical Team Leader to join our team at the Scunthorpe Rod Mill. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact in both our manufacturing and workshop areas.
What You’ll Do:
* Achieve Excellence: Work towards plant operational targets, product quality, customer service, and health and safety objectives.
* Collaborate: Be part of a multi-disciplined team, providing top-notch engineering services to our manufacturing customers.
* Lead: Report directly to your mechanical engineer and help embed our maintenance execution process.
* Innovate: Use cutting-edge information systems (SAP, Office 365) to monitor and record your work activities.
* Support: Work closely with the Maintenance Engineer and our Asset and Reliability Department.
2025 is set to be transformative for the Scunthorpe Rod Mill! You’ll be involved in our Capex Programs and engage with both local and strategic upgrades.

What we need to know about you:
To be considered for this position you must be qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in a relevant mechanical trade or have served a recognised apprenticeship*.
Ideally, you will have experience of mechanical maintenance within a commercial or heavy engineering environment, essential to the role is the ability to adapt to new equipment. You must be flexible, have a desire to learn and develop.
