We are looking for a passionate and driven Senior Survey Research Analyst, known internally as a Senior Communications Officer, to take a leading role in shaping how we connect with our residents through meaningful engagement. The post holder will plan, analyse, collate, and present survey data in order to provide stakeholders with reliable and accurate information with which to make business decisions. The post holder will support in ensuring we achieve a representative range of views, including those from hard-to-reach groups, which will enable the organisation to make informed business decisions.
At any given time, the council is conducting around 100 surveys, ranging from targeted stakeholder engagements to ongoing feedback that helps improve our services. Our countywide Let’s Talk series has enabled thousands of people across North Yorkshire to share their opinions on key issues in their local area and communities, encouraging conversations on what matters most to them.
In this role, you will:
1. Lead on designing and implementing high profile public surveys, ensuring they are user-friendly and aligned with engagement objectives.
2. Analyse survey responses to extract actionable insights and trends and present these findings to internal teams during active survey campaigns.
3. Create concise public data reports, ensuring data collection and analysis is accurate.
4. Promote the importance of straightforward and efficient survey research to stakeholders, emphasising effective audience usage.
5. Efficiently manage lower-priority surveys while dedicating more time to collaboratively design questions for high-profile surveys.
By supervising and supporting the team to deliver high quality engagement, you will play a key role in empowering residents to have their say, guiding services to achieve significant engagement that helps to shape the future of our communities.
We are looking for someone who can use their communication and collaboration skills to connect with people, uncover insights and turn feedback into usable actions.
