A dynamic IT security and cyber defence business supporting government and defence customers requires a Commercial Manager. Applicants need Commercial Contracts Management experience within aerospace, cyber, defence, technology or related industries.
The Commercial Manager will report to a Commercial Director and be responsible for providing commercial contracts management expertise across the entire contract lifecycle. Delivering innovative technology and solutions to central government, security agencies and defence customers, the Commercial Manager will support bids/tenders while also managing in-life contracts and change management activities.
Responsibilities of the Commercial Manager include:
1. Act as Commercial Contracts Manager SME to stakeholders across the business advising on pricing, T&Cs, contract review and general commercial issues.
2. Support/Lead commercial discussions, bids and negotiations with customers.
3. Negotiate, agree and manage contracts such as NDAs, Framework, Collaboration etc.
4. Assist procurement with flow-down of T&Cs into supply chain agreements.
5. Contract change activities in regards to project controls, variations and risk management.
Commercial Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:
1. Commercial Management or Contracts Management experience, and ability to deliver results across the entire contract lifecycle.
2. Previous experience within aerospace, cyber, defence, engineering or high-tech industries is advantageous.
3. Experience contracting to central government or MOD, or being previously employed in these sectors is advantageous.
4. Ability to thrive and add value within a small commercial function, collaborating closely with stakeholders in Finance, Procurement, Sales etc.
5. Degree or relevant accreditation; WCC, IACCM, CCMP, MCIPS etc. advantageous.
