The Lifeline & Responder Service is seeking to recruit 2x Lifeline Control Operators on a Casual Basis working in its dedicated control centre. The successful candidate will assist via call monitoring to provide twenty-four-hour support and security for elderly, disabled, or otherwise vulnerable persons in their homes. We are looking for a highly proactive and efficient individual with strong communication skills who can work effectively with others within their immediate service, partnering services, and members of the community. You will be required to be adaptable, flexible, with a positive can-do approach, and show initiative.
A full working knowledge of answering calls in a control centre environment is desirable, and providing excellent customer service is a must. A full working knowledge of IT applications, including Microsoft Office and service-specific software, is preferred, although training is available for individuals who lack this experience/knowledge. The ability to interpret data to ensure the relevant standards are monitored and adhered to is extremely important in this role.
Good organisational skills, the ability to multitask, and attention to detail are vital, as well as working within specific timescales. The successful applicant must be able to work to relevant quality standards, meeting set Key Performance Indicators and policies and procedures of the Local Authority.
This post is on a Casual basis; the hours will be dependent on your availability and the needs of the service. The main shifts we offer are 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, and 10pm - 6am, but variations of these hours are available to Casual staff on a service need basis.
