Information about London Academy
London Academy is an ambitious all-through Academy in North London, serving a multicultural and disadvantaged community. In 2022/2023 we were in the highest performing 55 schools in the country, achieving a progress 8 score of 1.06. The Academy is on a mission to become the highest performing state school in London by August 2030. We prioritise students eligible for pupil premium funding in our Admissions Policy. We believe that every child can achieve excellent academic qualifications through hard work, discipline, a rigorous curriculum and consistently excellent teaching. We also place equal importance of the development of the whole child and hence offer a wide and varied enrichment and extracurricular programme. If you are values driven and believe that every child deserves a world class education, then please apply.
The Opportunity
We wish to appoint a high-quality graduate who has the necessary skills and attributes to enthuse our highly ambitious students to join our school as a teacher of History and inspire our students to become Leaders for Tomorrow. The ability to teach to A level will be an advantage. History is a highly successful department at KS3, KS4 and KS5. This post would suit an ECT or a more experienced colleague looking to broaden their experience in an all through 4-19 Academy.
Our mission is to develop the leadership potential in both our staff and students and we want to be at the forefront of developing the next generation of national school leaders. We can help prepare you for a future senior leadership position, investing in your development through regular coaching and a wide range of professional development opportunities, such as the NPQ qualifications.
