Hills Waste Solutions have an opportunity available for a HRC Recycling Operative to join our team based at our Household Recycling Centre (HRC) in Purton. About the role: As our HRC Recycling Operative, you will assist members of the public visiting the HRC’s to sort, recycle and dispose of materials and ensure that the site runs efficiently. Your key responsibilities as our HRC Recycling Operative will include: • Maintain and operate the Recycling Centre in accordance with company policies and procedures. • Ensure customers’ requirements are met and any delivery dockets are correctly completed. • Ensure the site is maintained in a clean and tidy condition. • To comply with all relevant legislation, in particular the Control of Pollution Act, including its Special Waste Regulations and the Environmental Protection Act and its “Duty of Care” code of practice (copies of which are available at each location). Working pattern: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Working hours: 1 April to 31 October 08:30 to 16:30 1 November to 31 March 09:30 to 16:30 What we’re looking for in our HRC Recycling Operative : • Full UK Driving licence and own transport. • Previous experience working outdoors and dealing with the public. • Physically fit and able to undertake basic manual handling activities. • Excellent communication skills. • Familiar with Microsoft Office suite (Word/Excel).
