Interim Accounts Assistant | Lancaster | 6-9 months | Up to £30k

Hays are partnering with a reputable public sector business who are looking to take on an interim Accounts Assistant to their team which has the potential to turn permanent for the right candidate. This role is a full-time role, working 36.25 hours a week with fully flexible working hours.
Your new role
Within your role, you will be part of a small team of 5 where you will be responsible for maintaining records, reconciling the nominal ledger accounts such as debtors, creditors, fixed assets and bank. To assist the Management Accountant and Finance Co-ordinator in the month-end reporting process, which will include preparation of month-end journals, to assist in the preparation of accurate and clear management information of the companies and its trading operations, to check supplier statements against the finance IT system to ensure that all purchase invoices have been posted to the ledger, to undertake debt management procedures and any other duties.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed within this role, you will need to have previous experience within a similar role, have excellent communication skills, be AAT-qualified or QBE.
