Birmingham City Council are seeking 2 experienced Senior Practitioners for their EICT Team (Early Interventionmunity Team) for a 6-month period initially.
Your new role
Birmingham City Council are looking to recruit 2 Senior Practitioners (SP) to work within a strong Early Interventionmunity Team.
The Early Intervention programme was established in late 2018 in response to a system-wide diagnostic and a Care Qualitymission (CQC) review of the health and social care provision for older people in Birmingham.
The programme aims to provide a range of targeted interventions: §Promoting faster recovery from illness or injury §Preventing unnecessary hospital admission and premature admission to long-term residential care §Supporting timely discharge from hospital and maximising independent living. As a Senior Practitioner, you will have knowledge in management of aplex caseload, good knowledge of safeguarding MCA and Best Interests decision-making. Must have experience of managing staff or transferable skills in supervising staff, and all round knowledge and familiarity with the Care Act 2014.You will be managing a of team of 6-7 (unqualified).
We are also looking for someone who canmence working with us quite quickly for a 6-month contract in the first instance, with the potential to be ongoing for the right candidate. You will be 'remote working'. There is also an option to work at one of the EICT locations across Birmingham.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will require a Social Work qualification (BA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or CCETSW approved equivalent). It is also essential that you have a current professional registration and have a minimum of 2 years experience working with adults in a Social Worker position, along with supervisory experience.
