Role Purpose
The focus of the role is on providing accurate, concise, and good quality analysis to the management of our Heathrow businesses. This is a hands-on role and will be involved in most financial aspects of ground handling and cargo in Heathrow - internal and external financial reporting, flash, budget and forecast. Alongside financial reporting it is expected the role holder will be involved in providing management with valuable insights into financial drivers to support better decision making. The team comprises of Finance Analysts, and a Finance Manager; there may be occasions, such as busy periods or holidays where the analyst will be required to assist the wider Heathrow finance team.
What you will be doing
1. Preparation of month end accounts and related variance analysis
2. Preparation, consolidation and review of detailed weekly profit 'flashes'
3. Payroll reconciliations, completion of regular reconciliation and analysis for each business unit for labour costs, GSE rental costs and other key operating cost lines
4. Support the budget and forecast processes, including the rollover of forecast files and uploads into Onestream
5. Support management with detailed and accurate analysis of revenue and costs
6. Routine physical verification of assets and assisting with governance of asset disposal and transfers
7. Review supplier invoices in SUN and completing supplier tracker
8. Journal posting including accruals and prepayments
9. Query resolution for suppliers and customers, investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records
10. Any other ad hoc tasks as required
What we are looking for
1. Completed study for a financial or relevant related university degree
2. Strong analytical skills
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels
4. Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment
5. Organised, able to work to tight deadlines and able to prioritise multiple simultaneous workloads
6. Strong computer skills, in particular a good understanding of MS Excel
