Teaching Personnel is seeking a confident and skilled HLTA to join a welcoming primary school in Peacehaven starting after Easter. This part-time role (2-3 days per week) offers an ideal opportunity for recently qualified professionals to gain valuable classroom experience or for an experienced TA to take on more responsibility.
About the Role:
As an HLTA, you’ll be responsible for leading small groups or whole-class sessions based on prepared lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading lessons and activities, ensuring they are engaging and effective.
* Supporting students with varying needs to help them stay focused and engaged in their learning.
* Assisting with behaviour management and maintaining a positive, supportive classroom environment.
* Collaborating with the class teacher to provide continuity and progression of learning.
* Providing feedback on students’ progress and helping to adjust lesson p0lans as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
* TA Experience or Recent Qualification: Whether you're an experienced TA or someone who has recently qualified, this role provides an excellent opportunity to gain or enhance your classroom experience.
* Confidence in Leading Lessons: You should be comfortable taking charge of the classroom and leading prepared work with confidence.
* Excellent Communication Skills: You must be able to engage with both students and staff effectively, contributing to a positive and supportive environment.
* Strong Understanding of the Curriculum: Knowledge of the primary school curriculum and the ability to adapt lesson plans accordingly.
