The position RES currently provides O&M services to over 2 GW of solar and storage assets in Northern Europe and due to strong customer demand, expects to grow further. The purpose of this role is to lead your team in order to: Strengthen and support the delivery of our Solar and Storage O&M service, and Enhance and grow stand-alone service offerings to client assets. Key objectives of the role are: Achieve industry-leading safety performance. Refine and deliver the team’s business plan. Offer excellence in the eyes of our customers. The ideal candidate will have: Several years’ experience at a senior level within the UK&I industrial solar/storage O&M sector. Impressive, demonstrable commercial management skills. Excellent people management skills. Broad knowledge of the maintenance requirements of MW-scale solar farms. The role is primarily home/office based, with regular travel to company/client offices and occasional travel to operational sites. Accountabilities Accountability for the safe and successful delivery of a range of support services to a 2GW solar and storage O&M portfolio. The specialist support services include: Solar SCADA Engineering services. Security and CCTV monitoring and maintenance. Land Management, including grounds maintenance, LEMP and biodiversity management. Fleet Management. Line management and leadership of the team to achieve high levels of commitment, engagement and morale. Manage team training, coaching and skills development. Manage the quality and safety performance of sub-contractors supporting delivery of the service. Remaining as a point of escalation for internal and external customers and managing any situations that require critical support. Refining and delivering the business plan to ensure financial targets are met or exceeded. Develop and manage a budget, P&L account and reporting mechanisms to achieve financial performance targets and deliver sustainable growth. Checking, auditing and reviewing the performance of the team and reporting KPIs through line management. Develop and maintain a suite of marketing and bid support materials including menu of service offerings, case studies, roadmap, pricing tools. Originate new opportunities to drive take-up of existing services and identify unidentified needs from existing accounts and new customer. Looking ahead strategically to take advantage of future areas of growth in service offerings and new market opportunities. Planning resources of the team and ensuring appropriate recruitment and skills development takes place in good time. Provide support to the O&M and Project teams to implement system-wide improvements. Improve and develop best practices and ensure these are implemented and shared widely within RES. A track record of solving technical and commercial challenges with innovative approaches. Qualifications Several years relevant renewables experience.
